说是这个人似乎不适合开饭店 而应该早点换到IT业里去 <br />不知道上下文是什么 你也不可能一点都不理解么 <br />提倡发帖子的时候 把你的理解先告诉大家<br />另外 不要取“请教高手”之类的主题 害得我这种水平差的人不敢回复 只能随便说两句就逃<br />

为什么你会这样说？他的饭店生意不是那么差呀……据maurice看来，他不是饭店老板，他曾经一直在IT行业中，或者是类似于IT之类的   是正确答案！！！

先别急着找正确答案，搞点热闹的：

美式修辞与英式修辞不同导致同文异语，但若不是美国的创造者们刻意引入法式修辞，美语还不至于与英语有大不同。

反过来，就有理由借鉴美式修辞来推断法语含义。

各位有无注意到 ce n'est pas un restaurateur ？尤其是那个 ce ？为什么说话的人不用 il / elle ？
这种修辞是用于评价一种状况，而不是简单的提供身份信息。

that is not a boss! 或更美式一点 that is not a man of biz for restaurant .“那个都不是开饭店的人来的！”
lauracq 说后面是讽刺语气，有这种可能，至少是否定前面部分的。
因此 Don 说“这个人似乎不适合开饭店”是正解。

而且也应该提供全文，否则无法判断 mal 的修辞色彩。
我断定 mal 与美语的 badly 等价。若用于形容受伤、损毁程度，那“生意不差”这种理解还可以。
然而有上述分析迹象表明，极有可能是“投入程度”的修辞，越是 mal 就越是肯定。

il ne marche pas si mal son restaurant —— he does not do his job that badly / enthusiasticly —— 他并不十分热衷于经营饭店。

举证：2000年美国大选的重新点票闹剧上演正酣时，一个CBS的电视评论员说：
since they both want to be president so badly , why not just let them be bi-presidents , like bi-coaches of a basketball team ?
既然他俩都这么死心眼儿地要做总统，为何不让他俩做“共总统”，就像篮球队里的“共同教练”？
