《法语基础词汇速记及考点精练》之所以采取法英汉三语对照的形式，是因为法语和英语同为印欧语系，两种语言相互融合的历史源远流长，这充分体现在他们的词汇体系中：英语和法语的词形和词义接近的比例较大，具有对比学习的特殊优势和有利条件，便于相互参照、理解和记忆；另一方面，一般的法语学习者都已具备了相当的英语基础，通过参照英语句子来学习法语，在法语学习过程中调动和转换英语知识的潜在机能，通过对比来找出两种语言和词汇间相应的联系和规律，可以取得事半功倍的效果。另外，我们按照字母顺序把这些词汇分作10个单元，每个单元后面附上相关的习题以检验学习者的学习成果，以起到巩固提高的作用。
